During my daily life as internet user I use many extension and I am trying to remove GreaseMonkey with the replacing of the scripts with extensions.
Now with webextension is very easy and I chosen to convert an old script that I use since years.
FaceBook on every external link use to append their url to track it but is slow down your internet experience other than they track you.
In that case the script was from 2007 and the original author accepted to convert it as extensions 🙂
In that case the code was very simple because don’t use the GreaseMonkey api so to convert as extension was necessary only to do an icon and the manifest.json.
This simple script hack that behaviour and now is an extension for Firefox and Chrome.
Now I don’t need anymore Greasemoneky also if I was using few scripts for GitHub also I need them but the author don’t want them to convert as extension.
